Forty-one years later…2 marriages, 2 children, 1 grandson (pictured), and one job. After 36 years of teaching (reading specialist), I’ll be retiring next year. I think it’s going to be a bit bittersweet for me because I have been one of the lucky ones to have really enjoyed my job.
A second marriage offered a new beginning and brought a level of sophistication and adventure into my life. Because of Andy’s job as part of GE’s flight test program, we’ve been able to travel to some very exciting places around the world. Not bad for a Riverview girl!
I continue to have a love and passion for horses cultivated by three of the best cowboys Garden City had to offer…Al Manning, Doug Webb, and Doug Trantham. Being on the back of a horse pulls the rip cord on the day’s frustrations, making me a much nicer person to be around!
I’ve had some mountains to climb and my share of heartache, but life has been very good to me. I’ve raised two decent and goodhearted children, am married to a man who loves me, have lifelong friends that I can count on, and I’m healthy enough to probably be around to see my grandson grow up.
