Linda recently had serious back surgery and was unable to submit information for our “Valentine’s Special,” so Kay Dees McGee provided us this information on Linda’s behalf. Kay and Ray have lots of memories with Linda and Benny—before and after they were all married.
Linda Hall and Benny Wells were also Ribault grads—Benny graduated in 1962. Anyone that learned to skate at Riverview Skating Rink most likely learned from “Rubber Legs” Benny!
Some may remember seeing how many of us could pile into Linda’s Model “A” or was it “T”?? Hey, it was a ride and fun ride to school, Burger King or any place we could get away with!
Linda and Benny were married soon after Linda’s graduation and are still living in Jacksonville and are doing fine (albeit her back) They were at our last reunion and looked great. They do not have any children but have lots of nieces, nephews and family to share their love with.
P.S. Kay told us Linda has been bedridden since her surgery and has just recently advanced to a walker. Kay says Linda’s spirits are up and she has that same great attitude she always had of “keeping her chin up.” Linda says she will be fine—it may take a year—but she will be fine! Kay says Linda has such a great spirit and always lifts up those around her.
