Vesta Selph O'Connor died July 16, 2005 of Thymic cancer. She was diagnosed in January,of that year and underwent many treatments trying to battle the disease. She was a high school math teacher in Santa Rosa County Florida and loved teaching. Esther, her twin sister, says she was fortunate to have been able to spend a lot of time with Vesta during her illness and was with her when she died. Vesta graduated from Ribault High School in 1967.
