DANIELS Glenn E. Daniels, age 65, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 after a lengthily illness in Jacksonville, FL. Glenn was born January 31, 1948 in Jacksonville to Charles and Margaret (Nichols) Daniels. He Served in the United States Navy from 1967-1972 on the USS Johnston-DD821 during the Vietnam War. He also served in the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Margaret Daniels and his mother-in-law Vivienne Isaacs. Glenn joined the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue June 6, 1970 and retired after 33 years in his dream job as an Engineer. Everyone to him was considered family. Glenn had many other passions in life such as playing softball up to the age of 53 and hunting with his son. Glenn will be missed dearly by his loving wife of 44 years Debbie Daniels; daughter Jennifer Daniels; son Forrest Daniels (Nicole); grandson Dylan Daniels; father-in-law John Isaacs; sister Suzan Skipper, a very special aunt Betty who was our Rock during the past 3 years, as well as other aunts uncles, and cousins. We would also like to thank all of the doctor's & nurses at Baptist Downtown who have taken care of Glenn for the last 3 years (to many to name) & their kindness to him & family. A special thank you his Baptist Home Health Care nurse Angel who took care of him & showed compassion to us all and NE Fla Hospice at St. Vincent's Hospital who gave Glenn peace as his journey ended. Family will receive friends and family 6:30 - 8:00 pm Friday, November 1, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, www.townandcountryfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow services at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Glenn's honor to the Brain-Spinal Injury Research, American Heart or Diabetes Association, NE Florida Hospice or the charity of choice.
